HEADSHOTS

Generally, I do headshots indoors at my studio. I can travel to your home or to another location, say, Paris, for additional charge (add $50 within NoVa; if you're flying me to Paris I'll shoot you for free). Allow just over an hour for the shoot.

A word about hair, makeup and clothing: go for classic and timeless. Remember your yearbook photos? Pick a hairstyle and outfit that'll stand the test of time, and you'll avoid the cringe factor later.

$300 flat fee, includes approximately 200 shots and photo CD. I reserve the right to use favorite shots on my website to prove I knew you before you got so famous.

PHYSIQUE

Glamour shots, artistic studies, nudes and the like, as well as G-rated pics that aren't as static as headshots. We may decide to shoot at my studio, use my pool, or find an outdoor, natural setting. Outdoor shoots require a bit more effort on my part, especially since I will almost certainly contract poison oak (I suffer for my art), but they are one of my favorite ways to photograph.

$350 flat fee. I reserve the right to use favorite (G-rated) shots on my website. I may also ask you to sign a Release, in case I use your image for the retrospective of my work that is undoubtedly being considered at the major galleries even as you read this.

COUPLES/GROUPS

(Back to top)Ba  (Ba

I do charge a bit more for couples, and not just because of the bickering. With twice as many of you to work with, it takes longer. When shooting couples I can do some individual shots, but I'm primarily interested in capturing you as a couple. By the way, I interpret couples very broadly: gay, straight, parent/child, mad scientist/hunchback, best friends, twins, etc.

$400 flat fee. (For groups, add $50 for each additional person.) I reserve the right to use favorite shots on my website to prove there are people in stable relationships.

PETS

(Back to top)Ba  Ba

If you promise not to use any variation of "gee, your work is really going to the dogs," I will photograph your beloved pet. I have two dogs of my own. Venue is dependent on the pet, of course, since your horse won't fit in my studio, and your tarantula would look silly chasing a Frisbee on the beach.

$200 and up, negotiable, depending on various factors such as how allergic I am to your cat and how tightly your boa constricted me during the shoot, as well as size and type of animal, venue, time, and number of shots. I reserve the right to use favorite shots on my website to celebrate our love for all creatures great and small.

PHOTOSHOP

If you desire selected images to be further enhanced using Photoshop software (blemish removal, teeth whitening, etc.), this service can be provided for approximately $100-200, depending on what is being done to the image(s), and how long it takes.

TFP/TFCD (Back to top)Ba   (Ba
I will consider Time for Print/Time for CD shoots on occasion, based on my availability and/or need for models. A TFP shoot is simply the model's time in exchange for prints, or a PhotoCD. This is good for people just starting out, or when a photographer wants to test new equipment or ideas.
